The Lettir Saddle Pad was developed specifically for the anatomy of Icelandic horses and the construction of TOPREITER saddles. Its anatomical shape, multi-layer construction and precise alignment with the saddle panels support an even distribution of pressure beneath the saddle. Pressure peaks are reduced and impact is absorbed – helping to provide greater comfort and freedom of movement for the horse during everyday training and competition.

A key advantage of the Lettir is its shape, which has been specifically designed to complement TOPREITER saddles. The edge of the pad follows the shape and position of the saddle panels, avoiding an unfavourably positioned additional edge beneath them. This allows the pad and saddle panels to work together as a coordinated unit on the horse's back, supporting a harmonious contact area and a more even distribution of pressure.

At the heart of the Lettir Saddle Pad is its specially developed multi-layer inner core. The construction combines different materials and is specifically designed to distribute loads across the horse's back as evenly as possible, reduce pressure peaks and absorb impact. At the same time, direct contact between horse and rider is maintained. Combined with the shape precisely aligned with the panels of TOPREITER saddles, this creates a functional system that brings together pressure distribution, shock absorption and a direct feel in the saddle.

Particular attention has also been given to shoulder freedom. The extended shape at the front creates additional space between the saddle panel and shoulder blade, giving the shoulder more room for its natural movement while helping to reduce localised pressure in this sensitive area.

The wither area is also anatomically shaped to suit the conformation of Icelandic horses. Its design provides additional clearance along the withers and spine, allowing the pad to sit comfortably beneath the saddle without placing unnecessary pressure on sensitive areas.

The breathable 3D mesh underside supports air circulation and moisture transport beneath the saddle. At the same time, the construction is designed for a stable position and helps minimise movement of the pad while riding.
